Current batteries have a liquid center. Solid state means there is no electrolyte core. Its the flow of electrons through the core that gives the charge.

Solid state batteries require twice the amount of lithium.

Lithium supply cannot achieve current demand let alone that of solid state batteries.

Solid state 'metal batteries' will require lithium chloride which isn't inherently available via hard rock.
