IMHO one of my issues is that there are a minimal number of Australian agricultural property REITs on the ASX as a result of the Chinese being allowed to purchase many of our large properties at will. Happily Gina R is one of the few Aussies remaining in the agricultural property mix. It is a pity that our "leaders" don't direct Peter Costello to use more of the Future Fund's $148.8 bn to buy these Australian agricultural properties based on the RFF model and redirect funds from international speculation.

PS. Any discussion of global warming, climate change or weather pattern prediction for that matter is a waste of space in the investment dialogue and for that matter, generally IMHO. The fact is agricultural property managers relying on dry land models will always go to the wall in the lengthy drought we have  suffered over the last few years. Happily RFF tenants have never followed the dry land model.
