IMHO this is a relatively easy stock to understand. RFF is a REIT leasing developed, diversified, integrated, well positioned and watered agricultural land to relatively large experienced food and beverage producers who have great track records and are on long leases (WALEs). In regard to SP, which is only slightly off the July market highs, it seems the increased volumes since then have been supportive of RFF in the market downturn. Higher volumes from long term players buying in as the company expands and matures plus a constantly rising quarterly dividend and EPS seem to be the drivers of the relatively stable RFF SP in this volatile market period. The company seems to have a preference for raising additional capital for direct acquisitions from shareholders by entitlement offers; the last was in June 2017 at a $1.70 SP at 2 for 9. This is an effective way for true believers to add RFF shares at a discount with zero brokerage and is also IMHO a good buy-in opportunity if the market dips to the offer price.
