My theory is a big short has been caught with their 'pants down' and is trying to cover his/her/Coy's short position. Silly as it sounds ... by selling as little as possible into any rise in the hope of putting off buyers.... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go buyers......................... Go Go Go Go.

Rip the ... out of the shorter(s) as they did/have done/will do again with retail investors.

All IMO I have no evidence but have seen similar situations before.
