That last paragraph sums it up Hac but if people punt money based on bullish posts then they need to get back to their trading plan. There is always this safety in number feel and like you I have seen it many many times. I still remember a poster asking how many millionaires will CVI make. One of the best researched and followed posters at the time was extremely bullish based on his own research and didn't ramp with bad intentions. Things just didn't pan out as thought and as you say it happens that way for the vast majority of stocks. Just thinking about it now there have been so many. I was made keen on Coretrack a few years back and that cost me (and others major dollars). My bullish posts at the time though were genuine (as they always are) however the company now doesn't exist. People have to make their own minds up on what they want and the vast majority of punters on HC are short term traders so will look to post and profit which again is fine as long as they are being genuine. The issue is many are just bullsheeting in both their sentiment and position. How can you tell? The only suggestion I would make to players is that they have their exit position written down if not already loaded into their trading platform and don't let the noise change their mind. Better to miss a bit of extra profits that wear the capital loss. That exit of course may be time not price based but it is the indecisions that costs the most I have found in my experience. That and trading warrants against a market maker but that's a whole other story
