"Mt Ida ore, which had been treated at the Davyhurst mill and was much higher grade than that pulled from the Davyhurst open pit, will now be treated at an unknown mill at Kalgoorlie-Boulder."
I dont hold MON, but I DO know the Mt Ida area well -worked underground there 1962-early 1963. I estimate the road trucking distance to the "unknown" mill at Kalgoorlie as approx 240km - 105km gravel rd, 135km bitumen. Has anyone researched the expected grades at MON's Mt Ida project & like to estimate whether they would carry the trucking & toll-treating costs? If they truck via a short-cut from the Sandstone Rd to the Davyhurst plant & then along their access rd to the Menzies - Kalgoorlie Rd, the distance may be a bit shorter, but the gravel component longer.A long distance to truck ore...... just my thoughts on the logistics......
