Press release in 2021 : International payments company E Merchants was sold today to Blackhawk for $2.25B Blackhawk Network is a publicly-traded, multinational corporation based in the San Francisco Bay Area with subsidiaries and partners throughout the world including commercial operations in over 25 countries. Tom Cregan started E Merchants in Australia from a $20M gift card payments company and built it to a $2B international payments company. Commenting on the deal Tom said he would remain on as a consultant for 2 years before taking an extended break.
