Here's a collection of desktop research hits I found early Saturday morning. Some of it people have probably seen, but I find it a useful personal exercise to bring this stuff together. Perhaps it's just the way I think?
Firstly, back to the future (an interesting summary look in the rear-view mirror) :- Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2010 Western region nominee: John Lewins Platinum Australia
'In just seven years, John Lewins grew Platinum Australia’s market capitalisation from $5 million to $600 million. This phenomenal growth came out of John’s strategy to focus on acquiring and developing shallow platinum projects in South Africa, using his patented Panton Process technology. His view, based on personal experience in South Africa, was that junior companies did not have access to the capital to develop deeper operations.
Using tight capital control and fit-for-purpose plant design, John was also able to develop projects such as Smokey Hills, which was previously considered too small to be developed commercially. This same strategy has seen the company acquire and progress additional projects, such as Kalahari Platinum and the Rooderand Platinum projects, making Platinum Australia only the second Australian junior exploration company to transition successfully from explorer to producer.
Underscoring this capability, John brought the Smokey Hills Mine into production in the middle of the global financial crisis as one of the lowest cost producers in the industry, producing 100,000 ozs 4E PGM per annum.
John’s financial goal is to make Platinum Australia into the lowest cost PGM mid-tier producer in the industry, providing his shareholders with a return that consistently outperforms the market.
He believes the next five years will see the company’s production of PGMs triple, making Platinum Australia a strong, low-cost mid-tier producer with long life projects, well positioned for further growth.
To this end, the company is undertaking studies on the Kalahari Platinum and the Rooderand Platinum Projects in South Africa. Depending on the outcome of the studies, John expects to start developing the Kalahari Project in 2011 and the Rooderand mine in 2012'.

Please note some of this report is using historic data (for instance the TOP 3 SHAREHOLDERS and TOP 20 SHAREHOLDERS pie chart on page 3 of the report is from the 2010 Annual Report).
I have emailed BuySellTips and they have informed me that they have now have updated their records and the content will get reflected from Tuesday, if not earlier!

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone else with any juicy stuff.
I'm now about to start digging deeper into the Platmin/Pallinghurst/IDC/Newco 'strategic venture' that was announced late last week. I am starting to suspect that this 'industry' development in South Africa may end up dwarfing Monday's Smokey Hills announcement made by the company.
In my mind it is definitely shaping up to be another 'hot' week for the stock. It looks like the short term interests have made a few dollars this week, while those with a longer term outlook are now settling in for the ride.
