AWB aren't the same company they were a few years ago. Exporting wheat represents a small proportion of their profits. Majority of profits now come from International Commodity Management, rural services and financial services.
I don't understand why farmers should be pissed off with AWB they served them well for years. Just because they got caught giving kickbacks that no doubt every other exporter to Iraq was probably giving as well. Just look at the recent dismissal of class action in the US by a US court. I see that as the US saying lets just drop this as it may open up a can of worms regarding US interests in Iraq and there own kick backs.
At the end of the day this company is diversifying away from purely exporting grain. I see a bright future. Soft commodities are booming an AWB should be well positioned to cash in on the increasing prices.
