Haven't the NSW Govt re-allocated the (former) approved expenditure for the smart card rollout to other information security related projects?
The project was ill-conceived to begin with based on a flawed requirement specification. By not going ahead with the project at the time was one of the few Gov't decisions they got right IMO, LOL.
This type of project may get legs today - but I cannot see it happening with a NON information security specialist organisation ...which ERG is not.
