Apparently the company responsible for lodging the flight plan just put the last flight plan in again.
IMO here is the danger. The aircraft was fueled to travel to one destination and should have gone to another destination.
distance London - Dusseldorf is 585klm distance London - Edinburgh is 534 klm.
So in this instance there was no difference but there could have been a big difference, potential for disaster if they were stacked up over a busy airport and waited for an hour or so.
