I think you need to be careful that you don't follow ? who left and insisted that charts are everything. They can be a great help but not in cases where very unexpected events suddenly occur.
Examples are STU (you can't predict there is no oil there) and gold prices.
To be in love with a company is one thing but to be in love with a particular or any chart is not too different, IMHO.
