Thanks for posting the satellite photos, to my eyes I can see no evidence of any preparations for mining activity.
No machinery, port or loading dock under construction. No sign of activity.
Just some rudimentary huts and dirt tracks which you would typically see on these islands.
Mining before Christmas? maybe if you could call scratching around mining.
