Looking at the weekly chart I am of the opinion that the end of March should provide a clearer picture of SP direction. Friday’s closing price fully closed the gap (on Weekly chart) that existed at .022 and .023 created early January. SP is now also squeezed between the 8 day EMA (.024) and the 200 day SMA (.0217).
The Gravestone Doji close the week before indicates that the bears still have control of this stock however Friday’s close had the SP closing the ‘right’ side (just) of the linear regression line and based on current trajectory I can see the 200 SMA acting as support and the SP intersecting with the 8 day EMA and 20 day SMA around the end of March. As the SP bounces around between .022 -0.24.
If SP fails to break out at this point and move into either a sideways or upward trajectory. I can see the 200 SMA support breaking and envisage AVL falling to .016. For as we all are aware, sentiment can drive a stock (in either direction) regardless of fundamentals.
The above is of course is my opinion and thinking on the next few weeks for AVL and guiding my decision to wait and see.
