The Australian Agricultural Company's Anthony Lagoon Station had 460 millimetres for the wet season, which is around its average rainfall.
Manager Anthony Cox said after the bulk of the rain arrived in late December, the station only received isolated storms.
"To paint a picture, here at [the homestead] we had 95 millimetres just before Easter, 150 millimetres out on the run and if you drove 20 kilometres there was 30 millimetres," Mr Cox said.
"So the flow-on effect of that is the grass areas are particularly good; the Flinders and Mitchell grass are still quite green.
"In terms of bulk [grass], we would be average for this time of year."
Mr Cox said Lake Tarrabool, which covers a large portion of the station, had filled up over the wet season, with the Creswell Creek flowing into the lake several times.
He said like many pastoralists, he would be looking to the skies in October for the first signs of rain.
"It is an average season; it is not great but we are in a strong position where we can hold all our cattle, so good times ahead," he said.
