Difficult to know how to interpret this intended sale of Currumbin land. I remember when FKP bought it from Divine...they walked into a sucker punch at the worst possible time. Great property, but not worth anywhere near the $75m they paid. On the one hand, I am surprised they have kept it all this time given their intention of going a pure play retirement company. To sell now...is this signalling they are short on cash or could be short on cash...or...is it a clear signal they are cashing in their chips to continue the pipeline via the labrador high rise and Sanctuary Cove retirement village. November 14 AGM will be very revealing with them having to announce their sales to date and a progress report on what Merrill Lynch have achieved.
