I agree the bigger picture is not Australia much more is happening in the world elsewhere. I am presently situated in Indonesia/ Jakarta. The contractor I build mines here with has already Indonesian business people sniffing about battery metals mining.
Indonesia has nickel and its needed for the push to build electric vehicles.
Indonesia it self has a serious pollution issue air borne Jakarta is bad.
With 5 million motor bike sales annually they will require lots of battery metals to go electric vehicles and electric motorbikes will take over.
Just watch SE Asia come on line first will be Singapore with electric vehicles even if they produce a lot of fuels, it will change. Pollution control is the push here nothing more but get rid of ICE motor vechiles from the roads.
