Just on the Gilead thing and "who could be Australias?"
There is only really one example similar in it's potential to block such a niche global market and with no current therapies. Not to say it will or is even close to achieving on market status and trying to hype an Aussie JR but....
Neuren with Rett, Fragile X & TBI is a pretty good comparison to Gilead locking down a market the size of HIV.
+ Gilead having US politicians on board was always going higher :-)
Very good strategic acquisitions over the years & Pharmaasset in 2012 was big grab for them.
