Well a point here is the touted transformation of the diagnostics sector to be present at the bed-side, the road-side wherever the Point-Of-Care exists with real-time results to improve practitioner decision making.
To be integral to that transformation, and the very many millions of tests done annually, is "right place at the right time" business development it seems to me. We may not be able to imagine the potential revenues at the scale of Gilead but I'm sure this is the way with the emergence of most disruptive technology.
