The last meeting that EPG had in Sydney I was told by some of the board that future shareholders in EPG would be european. The week after EPG presented at the oil barrel conference in London a presentation outlining in detail more information than was given to the shareholders back in Australia on the Friday before.
How this has backfired! HSBC custodial trust has sold down 27 million shares between 19th May and 30th September and who bought them mostly Australians! I am actually quite impressed that they managed to sell that many. To think that at the same time if rumours are correct BG are trying to buy QGC for somewhere between $5 and $6 Billion other british shareholders are selling gas reserves that one day will rival that of QGC for $50 million.
Annual report states 10 Euro /GJ .....18-19AUD/GJ and that is without a gas cartel
