Good on you.
I drive a diesel too, have a petrol sports car just for fun, a diesel tractor, petrol zero turn mower, 2 stroke chainsaw and blower, petrol brushcutter and 2 petrol rotaries. So what? If there had been some of the affordable, practical and better performing battery operated versions that are available now that's what I would have bought and certainly will in the future when they need replacing.
You totally miss the fact that power generation is now cheaper with renewables and that's why commercial considerations pick them over coal, gas and oil because they save money and make bigger profits. Only the stupid government is keeping fossil fuel alive, probably because that's where they will be heading when they lose office.
Forget the green name calling nonsense. The fact that it's also so much cleaner makes it a no brainer.
