As to your question about Austar, it seems that the upgrade to the Austar system will be later in the year...to a Mystar box - from the email :
"Austar have now announced that they will support a broadband return path via their MyStar boxes.....towards the end of this year."
best bet would be to call Austar if you intend to get the service, see what that think about that time frame.
