Spot on referencing the YF 22/23. Still disappointed with that decision.
Remember McNamara's decision to go with a conventional power plant of the JFK (carrier) instead of a nuke? He did it for cost reasons. Turns out the lower cost of a conventional power plant was mostly due to the lower number of planes the carrier could carry.
Never under estimate the willingness of politicians to screw something up.
Did you notice the low radar sig on the Austal ship? The flat inward sloping sides and lack of hand rails (high radar return) are a dead give a way. All it needs is the iron ball paint and away it goes.
