As milestones go, they don't get much bigger than the one Austal USA will celebrate at its Mobile River shipyard Saturday.
That's when the company will formally hand over the keys to its $600 million baby, the USS Independence. The U.S. Navy will take ownership of the cutting-edge warship during a commissioning ceremony on the Mobile waterfront. More....
