The majority will rule and in this case the overwhelming majority of farmers want a single desk.
Perhaps it is because those farmers that have been in the game for a while know only too well how the single desk works to their advantage. It seems the ones crowing the most to get rid of the single desk are the idealist's with limited practical experience. And of course the trading houses, foreign countires etc who would love to break down the single desk system.
Blind Freddy can see that if abolition of the single desk is being pushed by them then obviously there is something in it for them - to the loss of the farmers.
