And in the meantime farmers are forced to surrender their grain to the AWB. Then when it comes time to pay us, they take a forking loan out to pay us and charge us the interest on that loan so they can pay us. The system is a disgrace and unfortunately the average farmer cannot see it.

It would be like anyone on this board selling a parcel of shares and whoever buys them takes a loan out to pay up and then charges the seller interest on the loan. It is a joke. I sold barley this year to Brooks Grains and the money was in my account by weeks end. The issue here is not greasing palms, the issue is the system of export wheat marketing in Australia. If the Libs have got any balls they'll leave the political fallout from straightening the situation out with the agrarian socialists - the Nationals.
