Work on Magna receiving approx 35-38% of Box Office total.
Studio's work on a connect rate to Box Office for DVD. Magna might have a similar process, but I doubt it, their projections for DVD would be less scientific.
Probably not much cahnge out of $450k for this acquisition and then a further $500k minimum for Prints and Advertising, did you notice the amount of TV advertising for this title, that does not come cheap.
There is a big hole here.
Next film to keep an eye on is PENELOPE, most likely to bomb as well and is tracking to tap out at $10m US Box Office, so not much hope with this one either and I don't hold my breath for CHAOS THEORY, although that has somewhat more potential with Ryan Reynolds starring, but is heavily reliant on how the US release is handled.
