I think there may be some important implications as to how FLT deals with the airlines globally. This decision reduces one of the risks to FLT business model which is the risk of airlines bypassing agents and going direct. I read that recently, Lufthansa decided that it would pass on fees payable to GDS suppliers for every booking done by an external agent. This means that booking direct with the airline without using GDS becomes slightly cheaper by Euro$15 or thereabouts. This will affect the market for the low value "domestic" flights. However, the difference is insignificant in the context of FLT's main intended customers.
