I too think that 'equity funding' means they've likely negotiated funding from 'sophisticated investors' already. Most would phrase it 'capital raising' if they were putting their hand out to the wideer investment community. Hopefully, it's a deal struck with a 'partner' close by that can assist with production. Now wouldn't that be nice - cash flow positive almost immediately!
