If the 2.5D seismics show conventional reservoirs in the interval where Ice1 encountered the 60 odd feet of conventional oil, then it will be fair to assume that the reservoir is holding oil and not water, and it will be easy for them to make an initial assessment of the reservoir size with the data we have from Ice1 used to calibrate the 2.5D seismic.
So........ if 2.5D seismic comes up positive, then it will derisk to a certain extent what we can expect with the larger acreage wide 2D to be announced in Sept.
A positive 2.5D announcement either this week or next will launch the SP, as it is more than just reporting on the area around Ice2H, it is giving an insight into what can be expected in Sept with the 2.5D
And if I was PB, I would be wanting the 2D seismics to be done by the time his preso is on at the Alaska O&G conference mid Sept.......
