My take on why you'd use an adjusted chart :
If I bought high, say 20c. After the capital return, my break even is 16c, so if I'm looking to simply get out and get my money back then I'll be selling at 16c, not 20c. Hence old resistance levels will be 4c lower than they were prior to the capital return
