One L/T positive out of this global meltdown is that given that the Brit Govt has largely paid for IBA's Lorenzo system to the tune of $600 million and counting, and given the current state of the economy; it may take several years for any of IBA's competitors to develop a competitive product to Lorenzo and thus give IBA several years of competitive advantage in the global market place and thus market share (even if sales are temporarily depressed)...
... $600m is a lot to spend developing an IT system and unless you've got a big paying customer pretty much impossible to internalise this cost for IBA's competitors....
... maybe great timing for IBA to get Lorenzo project/ buy iSoft when it did (assuming that Lorenzo is all it's cracked up to be)...
