In 'Nature Medicine',researchers report finding "bitter taste receptors on airway smooth muscle".The tested bitter tastants' effects were "threefold greater than that elicited by B-adrenergic receptor agonists"."Given the need for efficacious bronchodilators for treating obstructive ling diseases,this path way can be exploited for therapy with thousands of known synthetic and naturally occurring bitter tastants".
It would be good to see more asthma medications in the marketplace.I am confident that KSX will be expanding sales when the asthma market is growing.
