re: a little light is shed - forrest FG
"In some ways, the company directly answering the Rabid Rantings rubbish could be counter-productive. Such answering can be seen as defensive and give credibility to the rubbish. And then there are always who think "no smoke without fire"."
Letting it smoulder should never be an option.
CST should say it is rubbish, refute inaccuracies and state their case with proof in the forum (newspaper) when given the right of reply opportunity like they were. Rushing out a newsletter smells more of desperation than a outright declaration of facts and possibly ASX announcement because other less reputable companies use their newsletters as promo material.
Would have preferred better media skills and a complete newsletter due as normal not a possible "special edition".
CST is fine and if they are going to say absolutely nothing they should adhere to that (state it as policy) and not be drawn out by crap media reporting no matter what and just refer people to accounts and prior announcements. Doing the inbetween and the subsequent comments have done no good.
I still find it hard to believe that people holding 600,000 worth of stock have sold on the basis of news reports but a lot of mums and dads do follow the directors selling theories and that along with some stop loss or margin selling/ traders scrounging may account for the balance.
It is funny the funds wanted more discounted stock, don't want to buy on market as it is thin and then when they miss out on a Dir selldown some cry wolf. If they were committed holders they would be in there buying the big discount now but no they complain that the Dir sold. They paid $2.40 before Japan and US sales moving complained they didn't get enough (went and sold some in profit) and now they won't pay the same in a stock relatively defensive in medical devices. These are the people managing your super??
