ELK's 18/8/10 Announcement:

"The extended production test was completed with measured oil cuts varying between 14% and 16% from the Upper and Lower Shannon formations, with most of the production at low flow rates interpreted to be coming from the Upper Shannon reservoir. This is much higher than the field average of less than 3% oil cut in 1997 prior to the abandonment of the field."

So they were getting less than 3% oil cut in 1997 also.
