Asbury seeks diversification in added-value graphite space

With the acquisition of coatings and lubricants ranges Slip Plate and SureCoat from fellow US producer Superior Graphite, Asbury seeks to expand its downstream presence to offset the sluggish performance of raw materials markets.
US-headquartered graphite supplier Asbury Carbons Inc. aims to diversify further its downstream offering with the acquisition of Superior Graphite’s dispersion and coatings product ranges, as flatness in raw materials markets pushes operators to strengthen their added-value businesses.
