Simple
If CJ has 100k to spend he could either exercise the oppies
and Get 333,000 shares or
Buy on Market at say 36c for 277,777 shares and keep the oppies
With the latter scenario when the SP hits $1 he sells 100,000 of his 36c schares for 100k and exercises the oppies
That way he has 333,000 + 177,777 = 510,777 shares for his original $100k investment.
