    Few more thoughts re growing gas demand:
    From the many articles posted on HC the picture of the gas deficit in Tanzania is quite clear ...

    There is a broader picture though, there is a similar demand for power in other developing neighbouring African countries.

    And then there is the unstoppable demand from Europe because of the 'Green' policy agenda:
    The cost of the power generation sector from fossil fuels like coal (associated with CO2 emissions) in Europe is rising and as a result leading to a significant switch to gas.

    The production though, from countries like UK, Germany, Netherlands and Italy is declining. Russia, Africa and the LNG seem to be the only solution for the problem. Russia is going to build North Stream now, and there will be more to come - IMO. The Arctic gas, which they rely on in the future is 4% from the world reserves (from memory)and is mainly in Russian waters.
    Oh, and let's not forget China's demand...

    Bottom line IF significant reserves are proven by the seismics, the possibilities for export are there, and the export prices are much more attractive rather then the domestic ones - IMO
