Tuesday, July 27, 2004 LAST year he tipped a gold price of US$450 per ounce at the Diggers and Dealers mining forum in Kalgoorlie. This year he didn't show up due to company commitments back in the US but Newmont Mining's Pierre Lassonde still gave delegates his tip for the year ahead. Sort of.
Relayed via Newmont's group executive operations support and development, Hans Umlauff, Lassonde tipped a price of US$380-450/oz over the next 12-18 months.
