And what’s new in this article? Don't we all know thedownturn in property prices and auctions, decrease in loan amount and number ofloans, lower retail foot traffic and all? Yupe, RBA, APRA, and banks they allknow about it as well.
We need to understand here that, by and large, this downturn is an inducedone, after astronomical risein property prices over the last few years.They puteveryone on a restricted diet, and sure if starts to bite they will takeactions to remedy that.
Wouldn’tit be a better time to invest in a business when lots of scaremongering goingon rather than when everyone is painting a rosy picture?
As per thegraph, Dec 2018 was lowest in last 16-17 years in terms new houses sales, howlow would it get from here?
2019might not be a spectacular year for retailers in general, but in the longerterm this business will be fine. Meanwhile everyone can hope for share pricesto go down given the situation.
