Hi Nortiba
Yes, Commander's marketing department is predicting overall market growth in the Telecoms, IT Services and Infrastructure segments
As to if Commander can actually win any of it, is an entirely different matter
And personally, I think that the SMB market is going to be hit particularly hard over the next 12 months, as consumer and business confidence plummets
As for the services side, well the revenue for the Dotars contract, which was worth 8 to 10 Mill a year to them, ended as of 30th June 2008. So, unless they have significantly increased existing services contracts, or won any new contracts (which there doesn't seem to be any announcements of recently ), then for next Financial year, the services side of the business is already behind the eight ball.
Also, the DAFF/Group 8 services contract should be decided in the next 5 or 6 months or so, and should Commander not win that contract, (which I strongly doubt they will win), then that will be the majority of the managed services business gone
So, in no way do I share Amanda's optimism. Quite the opposite.
There was also another article today regarding Commander moving out of Darling Park, and cutting call center staff
