I believe that in investing, we continue to learn and pick up things and we should never think we are better than the next guy. You just have to find a style that suits you - and never sway from it. Its like the top quality LICS falling to levels unheard of way below NTA. You either participate in the frenzy and sell on fear or add at real value levels. The timing part is impossible to predict - unless you totally pay an unreasonable price, you should be OK. And I illustrate with the Berkshire purchase of Goldman Sachs shares (and even with their 10% interest). At $115 purchase price they then fell to the $40/$50 level. 50% decline. Currently they are $160 or so...
Buffett/Grahams principles are timeless. The framework is set.
