I reckon the labs fear them though. How long until a field based standardised mechanical sampling device on cut or crushed core that replicates lab assays sufficiently becomes certified? 20 years or less maybe???
A few operators are currently using them for in-situ soil sampling (where the conditions permit) for element contouring with some success. No game-ending JORC limitations for reporting there. Labs won't be liking that either.
But yeah - a 6 pack is always the first priority in transport logistics.
