On a brighter note, it appears the peak in traditional combustion engines occured last year. 

"Jato Dynamics, a British-based automotive research firm, had previously estimated that the peak year for combustion engine vehicle sales would occur in 2022, or later.But the latest analysis from the highly-regarded industry consultancy, is that 2018 was the peak for conventional cars as manufacturers expanded the production of electric cars and sales of combustion engine vehicles stalled in the world’s three biggest markets, China, Europe and the US."

80million vehicles are sold each year globally, but only 2.5% of that number (2m) is electric vehicles. Expect this number to continue to rise over the next couple of decades. 

A40 have their teething issues, I just hope that for myself and the rest of you that they can battle through this tough period and start performing regardless where the price of lithium carbonate is tracking.
