sounds like Mathew Bolton may be not be focused on the divi

however the couple probably was.

I suspect that what happened with them is that they saw the shares selling for a .003 and saw that they could get 5.95c

Perhaps they didn't read the documents or as asic says the documents were badly written.

I wonder however if Mathew Bolton is in the same boat as the couple

He obviously didn't buy the shares for the divi because the divi was cancelled before he bought.

He may well have been trying to takeover the company.

But where would he have got the $94m to pay the last two instalments?

It is beyond me.
