I do not use an online broker so id do not know.

As most of these holders are unsophisticated would they have not seen the fact that there was a different code and then checked. On my website(i can not trade online) as soon as i hit the code the below comes up, i then click in and get research etc from there

Bolton i believe knew what he was doing and he has some motive for his actions. These small holders where simply taking a high risk bet and either were silly enough to try and double their money knowing the risk or worse still just took a gamble without doing ANY research. Original holder would not be in that much trouble as they would not have had such a large holding unless averaging down.
