Urabull, yes i did read the article. Dont presume i know nothing about this, you have no idea. But its clear to me that have a poor understanding of what is going on here, perhaps do some research? All they have done is put down resevations, they are not orders. The articles is badly written. What Tesla is doing is taking resevations for orders. Tesla does not actually have a product at the moment, what they have is a promise. The Tesla truck has not even passed various US state heavy vehicle transportation and haulage laws. These companies will not buy the trucks unless they are tested and proven. It is too costly and to risky and besides it is years away and Telsa does not even have a proper truck at this stage that can be evaluated.
If that is all Tesla has got, this is hardly a ringing endorsement.
As far as i can tell , all these companies have done is given Tesla an intent to trial the product, this not like someone buying a car. They will not pay for the initial truck or couple of trucks. They have reserved it, Tesla will provided it to them for testing and evaluation. If it meets and passes their requirements , they may buy it, they have simply reserved some. If it doesnt, they will simply hand them back and no cost to them. Do you seriously expect companies to simply buy a completely untested upproven product with no support infrastructure and great cost?.
You are getting way too caught up in the PR spin. This company is all PR spin where it over promises and under delivers. Musk is good salesman who has developed a cult like following where people blindly believe anything he says.
I refer you Tesla's latest earning announcement and conference call. Listen carefully to it and how he and the CFO dodge some very important questions.
