Therefore if a car takes 30-40min to obtain a usable charge , it will take serval times (7-10x) , talking around 240-300mins for a usable charge. And these thing operate of 3 phase power. To effectively charge trucks one will need to have installed transformers etc to upscale the power so one can charge teh truck in 30-40 mins. You are familiar with the difference in charging time between a small iphone and large ipad. Same principle. However if you are going to start installing transformers etc that creates its own engineering issues including cost. Why would any serious long haul truck company even look into this.? They would not waste their time. Moreover you would need by and large industry acceptance, the risks are simply to large to go solo and be the only operator using Tesla trucks.
