Agree, Canberra is a fickle beast and one really needs to be from there to fully understand how it works. From my side I cannot see this business improving, the location is in an isolated location. Not until there is an approval to develop a football stadium close by at the Civic Pool where the area becomes an entertainment precinct will this have a chance to succeed. IMO Australia in general needs to move away from being a nanny state, late night entertainment venues are suffering, the local government needs to push and commit for a Civic football stadium. Only when these things come together then the Canberra Casino will have a chance. That said, the airport now receiving international flights from Singapore may assist with balancing the ledger.
