Stoives - I agree with your assessment. The first CEO was on US$750,000 Then Gomes, who spent most of his in Queensland (because he didn't like Casin Canberra) was on US$500,000 and now Jessica Mellor, the Project Manager is the latest CEO on AUD$380,000.
Add the American GM on $250,000 (prior to the Fungs taking over the GM was on $157,000) and you have a recipe for disaster. I also understand that the latest HR Manager to leave the Casino in October also has a couple of law suits pending for bullying and harassment!
I think that the new owners didn't take any notice of of the previous management and arognatly thought that 'if you build it, they will come'. They haven't come to the casino and they won't because this is a very different market to that of Sydney or Melbourne. As for flying in big spending whales from China on Mr Fung's 757, ask how that's going for Crown Casino and I think this building will be re-developed into apartments within the next 5 to 10 years.....
